This is what I’ve been reading lately…
So I read a lot of stuff, some books, but an alarming amount of articles, blogs, product labels, product reviews, etc. I thought I would let ya know what I’ve been reading lately. Who knows maybe you will enjoy it and learn something new as well.
When Sugar is Still Sugar, by Kristen at Food Renegade…This post interested me since I am struggling with this with my son, who attends preschool, we go to church, we have playdates, etc., etc. I am shocked by what is acceptable snacks for young children. In most cases the parents are not to blame; food companies have become very sneaky with how the label and market things. I’m reminded of those ridiculous commercials about corn syrup…did you ever see those, where the mom say something like, “It’s fine in moderation.” Take a look at the post, maybe it can help clarify a few things and if you are one of the mommies trying super hard to get your kids to eat right, KNOW you are not ALONE!
Your Adrenals: Understanding The Keys To Health, by Kristen at Food Renegade…This post I read and have been reading up on fatigue, because it is something The Hubby has and still struggles with. He is constantly tired, can always go for a nap and does his best work late at night. Now some people might say, well if he’s always been like that, maybe it’s genetic, HAH! What if it’s not, what if he’s been struggling with fatigue his whole life and does not need to. Changing our diet has helped him in some areas, but it’s not enough. Now if I can just convince him to give up some of his treasured foods, we might have a real experiment going on. If you are struggling with faitgue or any of the other things listed in the article, maybe it’s time to start changing your diet??
Easy Tips to Avoid Obesity, by Dr. Mercola…This article I read not so much for the title, but the content. It gives us a reminder of some ways to avoid falling into the modern diet trap. Focus on actually eating good food, not larger portions of “diet” food. Good fats, not modern version of “healthy fats.” And much more information which is a good refresher or maybe some new information.
